Urban Kitchen

Hello food friends! Sorry it has been so long since an update. This week, we moved into a loft downtown. We love it! There is an excellent urban grocery store with high quality products just down the street, so we'll be walking there to get ingredients for future meals. Sadly, we had to say goodbye to our (huge) tomato plant, but were able to keep the potted herbs and jalapeƱo plant in our new place.

Moving food to a new place is difficult. You end up going through everything and really evaluating if it's worth packing in the move, or just pitching and starting over once you get there. The breadcrumbs were one of the few ingredients that made it downtown, so our first night in the loft we decided to make a classic: Daddy's/Grandpa's Special Chicken. We cooked the other dishes in our old place, but didn't have time to upload them to the blog until now. Enjoy!

Thai Peanut Slaw

Lemon Herb Butter Burgers

Paula Deen's Spicy Shrimp Pasta

Homemade Shortcake Biscuits with Strawberries and Cream

Chocolate Dipped Strawberries

BBQ Ribs with Baked Sweet Potato Slices

  1. You all rock. The lighting in the new space makes the food look even yummier!
