One of the most anticipated events of our anniversary trip was eating the top tier of our wedding cake from the previous year. The bakery wrapped it, boxed it, and then gave Whitney's parents more instructions on how to preserve the cake so it would be delicious a year later.

We took it out of the freezer, unwrapped it, and left it to thaw as we went to the Cardinal's game. Once we got home, it was TIME. This was either going to be wonderful... or horrible...

It was perfect. The cake tasted just as delicious as it did 365 nights ago. Moist, rich, creamy, heavenly. The top tier was strawberry cake (they use real strawberries... trust me, it's amazing.) with vanilla buttercream icing.

It's been a year full of love and happiness. We look forward to many more together. :)
