That's right blog readers! We are ONE YEAR OLD today! Thanks for following our culinary adventures over the past 365 days. For our "one year entry," we planned on reviewing previous posts and picking our top five favorite meals. So, we started scrolling, and saying "ooo, this one!" "no, this one!" "wait, what about this one?"....After much discussion of our favorite meals over the past year, we've decided that we just can't pick. From the filet mignon to the cinnamon rolls to the green chicken chili, it's just too difficult. For that, we are proud.
We're proud that we stuck with this blog thing for a whole year. We're proud of our food. We're proud that our pictures look semi-appetizing. We're proud to have friends and family that check in and see what we're up to.
It's true that after the first year, we aren't quite newlyweds anymore. We thought about changing the name of the blog link, but decided not do. The word "newlywed" brings with it freshness, excitement, and eagerness of two people head over heels in love with each other. Newlyweds learn new things about each other everyday. Their love is full of possibilities. They show off their new spouse to everyone. They work through their differences together. They explore new places together. Newlyweds can conquer just about anything that comes their way.
Why does that have to end?
In our minds, it doesn't. We hope and pray that we can always keep a "newlywed" mindset when it comes to our marriage. Thank you to all who have stuck with us thus far. Here's to many more palatable posts!
